How do you think Black and white progressive Democrats and the liberal media would react if the 58 people shot and eight killed in Chicago over Labor Day weekend were white?
How do you think they would react if the 45 Black victims, all 19 and under, killed by gunfire in the last 18 months in Washington, D.C, were white?
To coin a phrase — “All hell would break loose!”
There would be total outrage and calls for the president to send in the National Guard to stop the carnage against innocent whites by the same people attacking Trump for attempting to stop the slaughter of innocent Blacks in those and other cities.
They oppose any federal intervention.
Why, because to Black and white liberals, Black lives really don’t matter — unless politically expedient!
If Black lives really mattered to the so-called Black and white Democratic political elite, they would have been at the forefront of the “stop the crime and violence” movement.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Black Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson are fighting Trump’s threat to send the National Guard to Chicago.
While they’re certifiably anti-Trump, but they’re pro-crime.
Pritzker acts disgracefully; Johnson acts reprehensibly.
Let’s reflect, a Black man opposing a president’s efforts to stop the slaughter of his own people!
They’re reminiscent of the white plantation owner and his Black plantation overseer who argued that their Blacks didn’t need any help — all was fine on the plantation.
The question is, where have all of the Black and white liberal politicians attacking Trump been during the Black-on-Black carnage in Washington, D.C., and many other cities under Black control?
Where have the Rev. Jesse Jackson, former President Barack Obama, and the Rev. Al Sharpton been on the Black slaughter in their own hometowns?
Obama and Jackson, particularly, owe their political careers to Chicagoans.
Usually craving for attention and media coverage, they’ve evaporated.
Some of us can recall the days, not so long ago, when Democrats and Black leaders said that problems impacting Black people in our major cities would be resolved if only Blacks were in charge.
The theory was that Black mayors and government officials would turn our cities into the “promised land” for Blacks.
Most major cities are controlled by Black Democrats — mayors, city councils, school leaders, and other key posts.
What has been the result?
In most cases, rampant crime and substandard schools are caused mainly because Black voters—who are mostly the victims of crime — keep electing the same Democratic Party candidates who have perpetuated the crime-ridden and failing educational systems that have been devastating their communities for decades.
Hats off to President Trump for taking action to bring law and order to one of these Democratic controlled fiefdoms — the nation’s capital. If it were a state, it would actually have the highest crime rate of any state.
As is the case in most major cities, the victims of crime in the District are predominantly young Black males. A child is shot in the District about two-and-a-half times a week. As of this writing, over 48 young people have been shot in D.C. this year. That’s three times as many year-to-date as 2021 and twice as many as 2022.
But, since the victims were predominantly Black, there was no uproar by local Black elected officials. Unfortunately, the reaction and response to crime depend on the color and race of the victims.
Whatever happened to “Black Lives Matter”?
Apparently, Black Lives Matter only if a white policeman takes the Black life!
If another Black takes the Black life, so what?
It took a white conservative president to finally say enough is enough–no more crime and bloodshed in the Nation’s Capital and other major American cities.
For Trump, the race of the victims was of no consequence.
One would think that white and Black liberals and progressive politicians who profess to care about Black people would applaud Trump’s actions.
Not quite.
Trump has been roundly attacked for trying to protect the lives of mostly Black citizens by Democrats who have been silent and turned the other cheek on the issue.
According to a recent poll, 81 percent of Americans think crime is a major problem. As U.S. Attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro stated, 70 percent of the murderers of Black teens are still on the streets. The question is why the Black leadership of D.C. and in major crime-infested cities– and civil rights groups– remain silent as their mostly Black young males are slaughtering each other?
Bravo to the Blacks in Chicago who are asking President Trump to send the National Guard.
As to the others, don’t complain — you’re getting what you voted for!
