This New York Times bestseller is the sole eyewitness account of the 14-hour long Battle of Keating in Afghanistan, as told by the individual who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his gallantry in that prolonged firefight. This book has been out for some years, but was given new life by “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe in his TV commercials for PureTalk. Rowe mentions and prominently displays “Red Platoon” and tells viewers that the wireless phone service supports Romesha’s work with the veterans’ charity America’s Warrior Partnership.
