He cited a price reduction in Walmart’s annual Thanksgiving meal package as proof that his economic policies are working for everyday Americans.
Trump asserted that affordability is being restored under his watch after four years of inflated prices during former President Joe Biden’s term — and he urged critics to “stop lying” about rising food prices.
The president also linked the cheaper cost of the holiday meal to broader claims of lower costs “than the Democrats” across the board, “especially oil and gas.”
Analysts, however, caution that while inflation has eased from its peak, many households still face hardship, and the festive savings may not be evenly felt across all income levels.
Still, Trump positioned the price drop as a political win — highlighting Thanksgiving as a symbol of renewed American prosperity under his leadership.
