Former President Donald Trump on Monday praised Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and said he would consider naming him to head the Justice Department if reelected in November.
Trump, during an interview with a local Fox affiliate at the National Rifle Association convention in Dallas this week, said that he would consider selecting Paxton to serve as U.S. Attorney General.
“He’s very, very talented,” Trump added. “I mean, we have a lot of people that want that one and will be very good at it. But he’s a very talented guy.”
